Notification of 2005 Base Map Review Period
Date(s): 4/11/2005 - 5/20/2005
On Monday, May 23rd, 2005 the Utilities Protection Center will be implementing a new Georgia Base Map. The new Base Map will potentially affect the alignment or replacement of geographic street data, which in turn, may affect proper notification of utility members in a given area. Therefore, before implementing the new base map, each utility member will need to utilize our website and the online tools available to review the recommended changes to their current service areas. Note: In order to utilize the online tools you must have a valid web account with service area access. This review period will begin today, Monday, April 11th, 2005. Each member will be given a six week period to review all recommended service area changes. During this review period each member will be responsible for accepting or rejecting the suggested service area changes. If no response is received from the member prior to the end of the six week review period, the center will assume, that as a member, you have accepted ALL suggested changes. You will find instructions on how to utilize the online tools posted on our website, under the IDig section - Click Here. These instructions will provide you with everything that you will need in order to review and approve or reject your recommended service area changes. However, if you do have questions please contact your regional liaison manager (you will find a complete geographical listing of liaison managers in your region by going to http://www.gaupc.com/regionalNumbers.asp).
